Bian Zhefu
Bian Zhefu was born in 1960 in Tangshan City, Hebei Province. He is currently a member of the Hebei Provincial Artists Association, a member of the Landscape Painting Research Society, a member of the Jingdezhen Artists Association, and a senior ceramic artist.
Bian Zhefu once created large ceramic murals such as “Scenes of the Lijiang River” for the Reception Hall in Zhongnanhai, “Magnolias in Bloom” for the Capital Arena, and “Sunrise over Mount Tai” for Tianjin West Railway Station. His design for the “Joyful Treasure Vase,” commissioned to commemorate Macao’s return to China, is now housed in the Museum of Chinese History. His work “After the Rain, Misty Mountains and Rivers” won the “Excellent Work” award at the 2nd Ceramic Art Exhibition; “Dawn Village Shrouded in Quiet Mist” took the Gold Award at the 2006 Jiangxi Province Ceramic Art Grand Prix. He was honored with the title of “Jiangxi Provincial Ceramic Art Master” by the Jiangxi Provincial Arts and Crafts Society.
